Korea: Seoul Day 25 [Nami Island + Rail Park]

Korea: Seoul Day 25 [Nami Island + Rail Park]

A super super fulfilling day though th weather spoils it alot..... It was a sunday & we decided to go to th famous Nami Island which is known as 'must go' for tourists. Woke up super early that tday & we took th subway to Hoegi (Line 1) & changed to th Chuncheon Line (Turquoise in colour) & alighted at Gapyeong. Th train for this line is a bullet train unlike th normal subway. It was a little complicated & we thought we were almost lost becos th train took about 30-45mins to come. Wasted a lot of time travelling & we are not sure where to get th train tickets as we need to buy them separately but glad that we managed to find th place in th end.

Reached Gapyeong & we decided to take a cab to th ferry terminal which is about 5mins drive away. Feeling super hungry so we decided to settle for lunch at this Dakgalbi restaurant. OMG YUMMMS

Th food was damn goood! Hehe. Walked over to buy tickets (10,000won) for th ferry to Nami Island. Saw th flying fox thing & it's really cool but ex (cost about 40,000won I think). I dont think I have th guts to sit on it also HAHA. It's actually link from th terminal all th way to Nami Island, damn cool. So... We just took th 'boing' way of gng thr just like everyone else.

I love all th tall trees there~ But th weather is such a spoiler becos it rained so heavily after that & it rly dampened our mood becos everywhere was so muddy & wet :(

Though there was a lot of walking, I'm glad I actually came here. Nami Island is famous for their 'Winter Sonata' story which is a drama that was filmed here more thn 10 years ago... Aww, so glad I'm finally here on this island. There were a few water sports available here too, but becos of th weather it was closed.

Headed back to th terminal & th subway station whereby we decided to take a cab to th Rail Park. I forgot we alighted at which station but th cab journey was quite long & it costs us almost 40,000won omg. But, Rail Park is a MUST GO!!! It's a really a good experience that I don't think I will get to experience often! They use th railway tracks that were not used anymore to create this Rail Bike experience where we can cycle through different tunnels & also experience different scenaries & natures. Omg love it!

Th rail bike experience was about an hour plus w a some break in th middle. Overall it was fun, esp whn th bikes rolled down th slopes or went past through tunnels which have songs like Gangnam style & etc... Th pedaling was th tough one but good thing that we had 2 guys to pedal for us HAHAHAHA. Got off our bikes near Gimjujeong Station & we took th subway back after that. As th place was a distance frm Seoul, it took us almost 2 hrs to get back & by th time we were back to our neighbourhood it's already like 8pm & we were all so tired & hungry..

Good food nv fails to make us happy. So fulfilling day & I know I will def miss this day so much.
